Dr Nield has been selected by La Roche Posay to be their 2017 winner for this incredible grant. The award is given to the most compassionate project spearheaded by a Canadian dermatologist,seeking to enhance patients quality of life.
Dr Nield’s project was “Improving Patients’ Access to Health Care in Haiti by Introducing Small Scale Production of Inexpensive Essential Topical Dermatology Medications “at Hôpital Bon Samaritain in Limbé, Haiti. Dr Nield has been working on this project for 3 years, and every year, continues to see improvement in health care in Haiti. The grant will all be used to further her humanitarian work in Haiti.
